Ha Long squid is not large because the sea is not very deep, but Ha Long squid is renowned for being more delicious than squid from other regions.
Squid fishing in Ha Long is simple. The fishing equipment is straightforward, requiring just a small, long bamboo rod. The squid bait is a curved hook shaped like a shrimp, sometimes with a light to attract squid at night.
When you cast the bait and shine a light on the water’s surface, it will attract many squid to swim around and latch onto the bait. You choose the right moment when the rod feels heavier and then pull it up.
